Tastic, the House of Rice collabs with David Tlale

On the 6th of August, David Tlale in conjunction Tastic hosted a ladies lunch at Le  Chatelat Guesthouse for Women’s Day. Gathering
women of stature from all walks of life the combination of Tastic South Africa and David Tlale continues the narrative of Africa.

With Tastic being a culinary household name, David Tlale has made a mark on the African fashion industry and tells his life story
through his designs and fashion creations that have elevated the South African fashion narrative.

In addition to the guests in attendance, the star of the day was the deliciously playful menu of Tastic Rice dishes, curated by celebrity
chef, Chef Nti, in collaboration with David Tlale.  From the canapes all the way through to the dessert; each course allowed guests to be
taken on a sensory journey where each grain revealed the life behind the perfectly cooked meal. Guests enjoyed an array of Tastic
inspired dishes

“As a heritage brand, Tastic has seen the evolution of South African society and the role women have played in that evolution” says
Thembi Sehloho, Marketing Director for Rice and Pasta at Tiger Brands South Africa.

“Our collaboration with David in celebration of Women’s Day seemed fitting as it gave two iconic brands the opportunity to celebrate
the phenomenal women who have played such a big role in the growth of our society and our brands. We regard them as phenomenal
because they remain true to their values with the understanding that the success of all women in the future relies on the steps we all
take every day to make each generation better than the last” adds Sehloho.

18 years into there are still exciting projects and the brand continues to soar having recently been the only African designer at Arise
Fashion Week as we look forward to more exciting projects to be unveiled.
