David Tlale’s Vosloo to New York Fashion Show Trending on Media

David Tlale, the internationally recognised fashion designer, graced the community of Vosloorus with a fashion experience like no other.  David Tlale called for model casting on the 4th of June 2019 and over 500 models showed up hoping to make the cut. Only 60 models made it to be part of the showcase.

From the candidates that didn’t make it to be models, an opportunity to be part of the show, as Ushers, Dressers, Administrators, Hosts and Registrars was extended.

For this show, the focus was on developing and imparting fashion skills to upcoming fashion stars and models. Taking that forward Mr David Tale decided to take in-house interns from Ekurhuleni, to continue making an impact and difference in the community. The latest intake of interns is in the following fields, 2 interns for Public Relations and Administration the 1 Intern for Graphic Design.

The journey continued by going back to where Tlale grew up and showcased his New York collection to the public of Vosloorus, on the 8th of June 2019 at Vosloorus Civic Centre. The fashion show formed part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative that the brand strives to keep as a priority to help and uplift the Youth with limited resources to persuade their passions and ambitions.

Tlale shared his journey and experience in the fashion industry, giving insights of how he started to where he is now. The Master Class was created to be a skills transfer for people in the community who are either, young designers, the youth that’s interested in fashion or persuading a career in fashion. The Masterclass was also aimed at the business people that can get inspiration from the House of David Tlale.

He mentioned that it was not an easy journey for him to drop out of his accounting course, to study fashion as his mother was not approving of it.
